(Feb. 1, 2024) Construction of the Rocky Boy’s Water Treatment Plant’s (WTP) Phase 1 main building is expected to be complete in the spring of 2024. Once complete and commissioned, Phase 1’s main building will be able to treat up to 11-million-gallons of water each day.
After water is treated at the WTP’s main building, the treated water will be transferred to the 3-million-gallon ground storage reservoir (GSR). The GSR is a half-buried concrete tank and is located northwest of the main building. Construction of the GSR began in 2022 and is expected to be complete this spring.
Next steps for the water treatment plant include completing the remaining site work, which will go out for bid in 2024. This work includes installing final pipeline connections, exterior lighting, landscaping, site grading, and completing the access roads and parking lot.
